Coming to Sacramento with our own climbing pasts, we linked up in the gym talking about our climbing goals. We quickly realized there were many crossovers. Apart from our desires to climb every inch of every rock in Tahoe and the Sierra, there was also a shared enjoyment in bringing others along for the ride. Learning and expanding our climbing together, we decided it was time to make things official: we would start a guiding business. Training with the American Mountain Guides Association would be a crucial step in this endeavor and we have both successfully completed courses under the AMGA and continue to pursue further levels of certification.
